good evening
Hi Rick
Thank you so much, This very shot didn’t took that much preperation as its was a short moment in time. The whole deal was part of a larger outing that was prepared for quite some time. It was just that special moment for this shot ๐

hi Tobias!
yes, then you must also have luck!
I’m 13 years old and would like to have the picture but do not have much time for it.
I have a tripod, 300mm lens, a camouflage jacket and tent, I’d pay them well prepared? I love challenges and therefore is in the weekend it is 5/6 hours waiting for the deer. but also for other birds such as bullfinch, green woodpecker, wood lark, black woodpecker and so on. I also own a site, you might want to visit! if you can not understand it, you can still translate into Dutch. http://www.rickvanderkraats.jouwweb.nl
I wonder what you think you are!
Rick
Rick you’re a natural talent. I mean 13 years old and you’re already there. – There’s many shots on your site I would have LOVED was mine and I’ll say push on, use that patience and talent of yours and I’m convinced you’ll reach something truly great!
All the best to you!
Tobias
thank you very much Tobias!
I would also like to have. nature photography as a profession you can have as a professional nature photographer for National Geographic??
I think it’s great to do and was also looking for a Sigma 300-800mm lens. and when I came to your site! ‘ve had to sit for a long time watching … what a beautiful pictures!! I’m very jealous haha. I would like to know. much more about how they can sneak up on the best best to photograph and so on. could I email if I have a question about?? did last night, the deer observed but was very far away for a 300mm lens. but later they ran into the woods … I like to photograph them …. in the golden hour, but then you need! really lucky but patience will be rewarded! I am also a member of a photography site, http://rickvdk.zoom.nl/fotos/index.html a few pictures that I made there are also.
I wish you a nice evening
Rick
That would be a sweet thing although I’m not sure there some Nature Photographers that only does assignments for National Geographic and nothing else ๐
I’m sure you’ll do just as well as you find I as you’re starting in a early age and you definitely have talent. Just keep on pushing, Spring is a great time for nature photography, the opportunities are NOW ๐
