AF-ON_&_Back_Button_Autofocus_Change_how_you_shoot_foreverIt’s a bold headline but it’s probably more true than you might think.
Chances are you already know it’s there, heck you probably even configured the AF-ON button to something else than its true function. Everyone knows along with light, composition is key to a great photo and the AF-ON is THE function for a quick recompose. By using the AF-ON as autofocus and the shutter button as shutter function only you can quickly focus and change composition without resorting to manual focus switch and with a chance of the subject long gone.

Award-winning nature photographer Steve Perry shares his tips on this very function over at PetaPixels.com. A must read for everyone who’s looking into pushing their skill and photography even further.
