Today Sigma released a OS (optical stabilization) version of their ever popular 50-500mm super zoom lens. The new lens features besides the 4 stop stabilization, 4 SLD (Special Low Dispersion) to provide “excellent correction of colour aberration” as Sigma writes in their press release. Filter size is increased to 95mm for use with full frame cameras. The weight is increased to 1,970grams. The lens is still very compact at the shortest focal range being 104.4mm x 219mm.
