Record breaking Eurasian Crane numbers at Hornborgasjön

Returning home from a wonderful time at the Swedish Hornborgsjön we were stunned of the number increase of cranes since 2008 – A record breaking 18500 was counted two days in a row. Over 3000 more than last year.

Luckily the weather was at its best and we were blessed with beautiful sunlight and of course a huge number of opportunities to photograph the cranes behaving and interacting with each other and other birds as well.
